{"id":834,"date":"2010-06-02T11:57:02","date_gmt":"2010-06-02T10:57:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikecampworld.com\/blog\/?p=834"},"modified":"2010-07-21T22:41:01","modified_gmt":"2010-07-21T21:41:01","slug":"a-typical-february-day-a-bit-like-24-without-the-guns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikecampworld.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/02\/a-typical-february-day-a-bit-like-24-without-the-guns\/","title":{"rendered":"A Typical February Day (a bit like 24 without the guns)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following takes place on a typical monday in February<\/p>\n<p><strong>00:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>Midnight, the end of another fine day<\/address>\n<address>And\u00a0 its time to get into bed I&#8217;d say<\/address>\n<address>But I wont yet sleep<\/address>\n<address>I have promises to keep<\/address>\n<address>And a bit more planning to do before I may<\/address>\n<p><strong>01:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address> <\/address>\n<address> <\/address>\n<address> <\/address>\n<address>The time has now gone onto one<\/address>\n<address>And I am still awake having some fun<\/address>\n<address>Playing online chess<\/address>\n<address>Releiving any stress<\/address>\n<address>Which come to think of it I have none<\/address>\n<p><strong>02:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>Its an hour later now two<\/address>\n<address>I still have a few things to do<\/address>\n<address>Maybe do a plan<\/address>\n<address>If I still can<\/address>\n<address>But first I&#8217;ll need a trip to\u00a0 the loo<\/address>\n<p><strong>03:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>The clock on the wall now says three<\/address>\n<address>Its time to sleep even for someone like me<\/address>\n<address>So I will switch off the light<\/address>\n<address>Sleep the rest of the night<\/address>\n<address>Will the alarm wake me? I&#8217;ll have to see<\/address>\n<p><strong>04:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>I am asleep by the time it is four<\/address>\n<address>Maybe deeply, maybe I do snore<\/address>\n<address>It would though seem<\/address>\n<address>I do at least dream<\/address>\n<address>Maybe once, but probably more<\/address>\n<p><strong>05:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>I am still sleeping at 5 am<\/address>\n<address>The time that possibly when<\/address>\n<address>Some people get up<\/address>\n<address>Have their tea in a cup<\/address>\n<address>But I am oblivious to them<\/address>\n<p><strong>06:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>It is six and I do sometimes wake<\/address>\n<address>I am too tired for my breakfast to make<\/address>\n<address>So I find that instead<\/address>\n<address>I stay in my bed<\/address>\n<address>And have an extra sleep for my minds sake<\/address>\n<p><strong>07:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>It is morning and the time is now seven<\/address>\n<address>I am asleep and it feels like heaven<\/address>\n<address>It is all calm<\/address>\n<address>An hour till my alarm<\/address>\n<address>If i oversleep I may not wake till eleven<\/address>\n<p><strong>08:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>The alarm wakes me now that its eight<\/address>\n<address>I have to be quick so that I am not late<\/address>\n<address>So its a rish again<\/address>\n<address>Before i get my train<\/address>\n<address>After showered, dressed and breakfast is ate<\/address>\n<p><strong>09:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>The time has now moved onto nine<\/address>\n<address>I got to work and everything&#8217;s fine<\/address>\n<address>The lesson thats first<\/address>\n<address>Is never the worst<\/address>\n<address>Although the tired students do tend to whine<\/address>\n<p><strong>10:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>The lesson goes well until ten<\/address>\n<address>This is the time generally when<\/address>\n<address>We break for fifteen<\/address>\n<address>Students take seventeen<\/address>\n<address>And I have to tell them off once again<\/address>\n<p><strong>11:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>It is eleven and nearly the end<\/address>\n<address>I have driven students round the bend<\/address>\n<address>Teaching them calculus<\/address>\n<address>As they make too much fuss<\/address>\n<address>I would call them stupid but I dont want to offend<\/address>\n<p><strong>12:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>So its a typical day at about noon<\/address>\n<address>It will be my lunchtime quite soon<\/address>\n<address>After tutorial I can be seen<\/address>\n<address>Queuing in the canteen<\/address>\n<address>And dreaming of the quieter days of June<\/address>\n<p><strong>13:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>So the afternoon arrives and its one<\/address>\n<address>Paperwork to do, so much fun<\/address>\n<address>For everything a form<\/address>\n<address>Sometimes two is the norm<\/address>\n<address>Its the part of the job I like to shun<\/address>\n<p><strong>14:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>I am often teaching again by the time it is two<\/address>\n<address>Sewing what the students can do<\/address>\n<address>This time its a log<\/address>\n<address>That is causing a fog<\/address>\n<address>In the minds of maybe quite a few<\/address>\n<p><strong>15:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>The time has now moved onto three<\/address>\n<address>A lesson in geometry<\/address>\n<address>looking at gradients<\/address>\n<address>Should make more sense<\/address>\n<address>But we shall have to wait and see<\/address>\n<p><strong>16:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>By the time it has become four<\/address>\n<address>Its beginning to seem more and more<\/address>\n<address>That gradients<\/address>\n<address>Do not make sense<\/address>\n<address>And the studentsfind me quite a bore<\/address>\n<p><strong>17:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>Work is nearly at an end<\/address>\n<address>Its five and I&#8217;m driven round the bend<\/address>\n<address>Who called this damn meeting<\/address>\n<address>Deserves a beating<\/address>\n<address>Why not put the info in an email and send<\/address>\n<p><strong>18:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>It is six and at last time for the train<\/address>\n<address>That will take me home once again<\/address>\n<address>Although its always late<\/address>\n<address>By four minutes or eight<\/address>\n<address>Any longer and I go slightly insane<\/address>\n<p><strong>19:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>Its now seven and nothing&#8217;s on tv<\/address>\n<address>So there a pther things to do then for me<\/address>\n<address>I can maybe mark<\/address>\n<address>While it gets dark<\/address>\n<address>Or alternatively cook myself tea<\/address>\n<p><strong>20:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>Now that the time is now eight<\/address>\n<address>And the evening is getting a bit late<\/address>\n<address>Its time now I think<\/address>\n<address>To go to the pub for a drink<\/address>\n<address>As a beer would really taste great<\/address>\n<p><strong>21:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>The time has now moved onto nine<\/address>\n<address>And distractions have worked out fine<\/address>\n<address>I will not have beer<\/address>\n<address>But do not fear<\/address>\n<address>Instead a dvd and a bottle of wine<\/address>\n<p><strong>22:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>That time has come around once again<\/address>\n<address>The annoying feeling that happens at ten<\/address>\n<address>I was feeling fine<\/address>\n<address>But tomorrow at nine<\/address>\n<address>I need to prepare something I&#8217;ve forgotten<\/address>\n<p><strong>23:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address>Its eleven and nearly the day&#8217;s end<\/address>\n<address>In an email tomorrows plan I will send<\/address>\n<address>Now I relax<\/address>\n<address>Have a few little snacks<\/address>\n<address>And wish that it was the weekend<\/address>\n<p><strong>00:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<address><\/address>\n<address>Midnight, the end of another fine day<\/address>\n<address>And\u00a0 its time to get into bed I&#8217;d
